Easley
Barbara Sue Burgess Elrod, 73, of Easley, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at AutumnCare in Saluda, NC.
Born in Pickens County, Mrs. Elrod was a daughter of the late Elige Fulton and Larecker Reynolds Burgess. She was a homemaker and a member of Park Street Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Chad Nalley of Easley; one brother, Robert (Bob) Burgess and his wife, Jean, of Easley; two sisters, Shelby Jones of Easley and Martha Gravley and her husband, Mac, of Liberty; two grandchildren, Tonya Ellis and her husband, Keith, and Dustin C. Nalley; and a great-grandson, Dylan Ellis. Mrs. Elrod was predeceased by her husband, Derwin Pepper Elrod and a brother, Charles Burgess.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Friday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to Shannon Tettemmer, Bob Burgess, Schuyler Sadler and Dustin Nalley for all the support they have given to the family.
Family members are at their respective homes.
