Barbara Jane Baker Fontz, 68, of 5 Edgewood Street, died Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Augusta, GA, she was a daughter of the late Harold Clayton and Elizabeth Pearl Ramage Baker. She was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church and the Liberty Senior Center. Mrs. Fontz, with a group from the Senior Center, loved visiting local nursing homes and singing to the residents and also loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are two sons, Tommy Wilson and wife Catherine of Easley, Skipper Wilson of Seneca; a daughter, Shelia Edgar and husband Frank of Central; two sisters, Shelia Baker of North Augusta, Della Trovinger of Garland, NC; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 3 PM Saturday at Liberty United Methodist Church. Visitation will be prior to the service at the church from 2 PM until 3 PM on Saturday.
Memorials may be made to the Liberty Senior Center; 105 S. Norman Street; Liberty, SC 29657.
