Barbara Hansen-Burns

Barbara Hansen-Burns, 82, of Central, passed away March 22, 2024.

Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Mittie Sue Smith Pitts. Barbara loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed writing, reading, and cooking with her daughter. Barbara never met a stranger and enjoyed her time socializing with friends and family. She was an advocate for animals and loved her cats. Mrs. Hansen-Burns volunteered her time to Meals on Wheels before her illness.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Strader and husband Daniel Holder of Central; grandchildren, Stori Lombardi and husband Randell Tedford, Jeremy Mason, Katie Ryan, Kelly Ryan, David Ryan, and Ashley Parker; great-grandchildren, Crimson, Clover, Cali, Jeremy, and Brandon.

She is predeceased by her parents and children, John Strader and Donna Ryan.

A gathering to celebrate Babara’s life will be held at a later date.
