Obituary

Barbara Elaine Grant Keason, 93, of Greenville, South Carolina, loving wife of the late Connie W. Keason, Jr., peacefully went home to Jesus on Saturday, July 4, 2026.

Born on November 16, 1932, in Prosperity, South Carolina, she was the eldest daughter of the late Reuben H. Grant and Olive Elaine Boozer Grant.

Barbara was an amazing and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and Nana. She cared for and served her family and others sacrificially and served her Savior faithfully. In her younger years, she enjoyed singing, reading, sewing, camping, and seeing the ocean. In recent years, even as her eyesight dimmed and her strength was failing, she continued to listen to her audio Bible and pray everyday for each of her family members by name. Her last spoken words were “I love you,” and her last action was a smile. She was a shining light and example of faithfulness, kindness, unconditional love, humility, and so much more.

Barbara is survived by her two daughters, Kathy E. Hall (Michael, deceased) and Konnie F. Cummings (Ronnie); her sister, Mary Harrell (John); her brother, Herbert Grant (Ruth); her grandchildren: Kristi Brooks (Remington), Kandis Waggoner (Irvin), Michael Kelly Hall (Dana), Keith Cummings (Donna), Kyle Cummings (Kristin), and Kristopher Duncan; her great-grandchildren: Keason Brooks, Kristin Brooks, Katelyn Brooks, Kendall Williams (Tori), Kailey Williams, Kaleb Williams, Kody Waggoner, Kaiden Waggoner, Austin Cummings, and Rohry Cummings, as well as other family including her precious nieces.

In addition to her dear parents and darling husband of 47 years, she was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Kimberly Ruth Keason Burton.

A visitation will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 11:45 AM at Robinson Funeral Home – Powdersville Road, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC 29642, with the funeral service to follow at 12 PM in the chapel , officiated by Reverend Terry Carlton. Burial will be held in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
