Barbara Kirk Pearson, 88, of 108 Wallingford Road, died Monday, September 28, 2009, at Oakmont West Nursing Center.
Born in Madison County, GA, a daughter the late Simeon Gale and Lilla Mae McCarty Kirk, Mrs. Pearson was formerly employed with Swirl, Inc., and was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church in Easley.
Surviving are a daughter, Lou P. Jarvis and husband, Bob, of Greenville; a sister, Corrie K. Youngblood of Easley; and a step-grandson, Rod Jarvis and wife, Valya, of Mt. Pleasant. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pearson was predeceased by two sisters, Fairy Belle K. Powell and Ardelle K. Gilstrap and by two brothers, Benjamin D. Kirk and Donald H. Kirk.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, Easley, with Rev. Rodney Graham and Rev. Dr. Jim Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Heartland Hospice and to Oakmont Nursing Center for the wonderful care they gave to Mrs. Pearson.
The family is at the residence.
