Barbara Suttle

Barbara Suttle, 82, of Easley, SC, a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished Memaw, peacefully left this world on November 24, 2024. Born on November 15, 1942,Barbara's life was a testament to the values of family, love, and selflessness.

Throughout her life, Barbara dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her family and home, embodying the essence of what it means to nurture and support those she loved. Her husband, William "Steve" Suttle, was her partner in life for an incredible 63 years. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, love, and shared memories. In their retirement, they embarked on a new adventure, flipping houses together, where their teamwork truly shone.

Barbara's warm heart extended beyond her immediate family; she was the cornerstone of many cherished gatherings, with her Sunday dinners becoming beloved traditions among family members. Anything that Barbara "threw together" in the kitchen warmed her family's bellies. Her passion for caring shone brightly as she made sure everyone felt cherished and valued in her presence.

Her most treasured title was that of Memaw, a role she embraced with unwavering pride. Barbara lavished affection on her grandchildren, ensuring their lives were full of joy and happiness. She delighted in spoiling them, making sure that they felt safe and adored.

Barbara is survived by her husband, William Steve Suttle, and her children, Randall S. Suttle (Cindy), Deborah L. Johnston (Steve), and Kristie A. Hannon (Shane), as well as her grandchildren, Steven Johnston (Tara), Chris Johnston (Kelsey), Clarissa Suttle, Kelsey Spearman (Lakon), Kara Williams (Stacey), and Harlee Johnston. She also leaves behind great-grandchildren Blake, Ike, Stella, Wyatt Johnston, Bryson, Emmett, Owen Spearman, and Davis Johnston. Her sister, June Hudson (Ray), also survives.

She is predeceased by her parents, Audrey and Clyde Hester. 

A graveside service will be held at Robinson Memorial Gardens in Easley, South Carolina, on November 27, 2024, at 11:00 AM.
