Barry Thomas Jones, 39, of River Falls, SC passed away due to an automobile accident on January 7, 2010. Native of Clemson, he was the son of Teresa and Tommy Jones. Surviving in addition to his parents are his brothers, Brent and Tyler (Allison), his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Honea, maternal great-grandmother, Eunice Ellis Black, his paternal grandparents, Louise and Wilton Jones and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Glenn Honea.
Barry was a graduate of Winthrop University and a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He was a sales representative for Automotive Fasteners in Greensboro, NC. An avid outdoorsman and gardener, he loved his time spent in the Jones Gap community with his friends and pets.
A memorial celebration of life will be conducted Sunday, January 10, 2010 at 3pm at Kresge Hall at the Clemson University Outdoor Lab (www.clemson.edu/outdoorlab). The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Clemson, 397 College Avenue, Clemson, SC 29631 and Concerned Citizens for Animals, PO Box 1332, Simpsonville, SC 29681.
