Barry Wilmarth Legan, 73, husband of Joyce Pierce Crawford Legan, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019.
Born in Rochester, NY, a son of the late Robert James Legan and the late Beatrice Tiffany Legan, He was a former board member of the Chamber of Commerce in Easley, SC and the Accommodation Tax Oversight Committee, a member of Inman First Baptist Church, and a General Manager of Comfort Inn for many years. Prior to moving to Easley, SC, Mr. Legan worked in Fort Lauderdale, FL for Christian Video Enterprises and Eastern Airlines. He was a US Army Veteran who proudly served his country for three years in the Vietnam War.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a brother, Burton E. Legan; a step-son, Gregory Crawford of Charlotte, NC; and a step-daughter, Jennifer Crawford Judd (Brian) of Las Vegas, NV.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Dorothy Mae McConnell Legan; and a sister, Barbara E. Legan.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Jones Hill Church of God Cemetery, 1014 Dalton Road, Marietta, SC 29661.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Jones Hill Church of God Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Asheville VA Medical Center / Community Living Center, 1100 Tunnel Road, Asheville, NC 28805.
