Barry Stanley Whitten, 58, husband of Rhonda Lydia Moore Whitten, died Monday, August 6, 2018.

He was born in Anderson, a son of Janice Evans Whitten and the late AC "Sonny" Whitten, Jr. Barry was a graduate of Daniel High School, and received a Bachelor's degree from Clemson University. He enjoyed spending time with his friends in the woods, playing frisbee golf, building a home for him and Rhonda, watching Clemson football and basketball, and spending time with his wife and family.

Barry is survived by his wife of ten years, Rhonda; his mother, Janice E. Whitten; brother Tim Whitten (Jeanie) of Tega Cay, SC; sister Lori W. Wilbanks (Jamie) of Central; niece Kathryn W. Young (Andrew) of Charlotte, NC; nephew John Whitten (Chelsea) of Fort Mill; and nephew, Justin Wilbanks of Atlanta, GA. He was predeceased by his father, Sonny Whitten; and his dog, Annie.

Barry was not only giving during his lifetime but he also intended to continue to help others by signing up for organ and tissue donation. He would want others to do the same.

Graveside services will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the Lawrence Chapel United Methodist Chapel Cemetery, in Central.

The family will receive friends 6-8:00 P.M. Friday, August 10 at the Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, 108 Cross Creek Road, Central.
