Beatrice Gay Davis, 98, widow of Athol W. Davis, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at the Clemson Area Retirement Center. A native of Jenkins County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Lane and Katy Aycock Gay. She had many talents and was a creative artist. She loved people and was especially gifted in relating to children.
She is survived by a son, Lane Davis and wife Elizabeth of Ephrata, PA; a daughter, Bea Gay Antrim and husband John of Etowah, NC, 6 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at 3pm at the Elam Baptist Church Cemetery in Millen, GA. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058.
