Beatrice Holcombe Gantt, 73, of 105 Powers Drive, passed away Friday, January 4, 2013 at her home.
Born in Anderson County, a daughter of the late Parley O. and Mary Finley Hester Holcombe, Mrs. Gantt was formerly employed with Mayfair Mills after which she was a homemaker. She was of the Christian faith.
Surviving are her husband, Luther C. Gantt of the home; four sons, William F. Gantt (Cindy) of Liberty, Kenneth W. Gantt (Margaret) of Hayesville, KS, Donald R. Gantt (Kathy) of Taylors, and Greg Gantt (Sharon) of Six Mile; two brothers, Johnny Holcombe of Pickens and JRoy Holcombe of Easley; five sisters, Elizabeth Gibson of Pickens, Verebell Jameson of Greenville, Bertha Patterson and Earlene Roper both of Easley, and Jewell Durham of Gaffney; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gantt was predeceased by two brothers, James Holcombe and Herman Holcombe by a sister, Eula Hudson and by a granddaughter, Angel LaDonna Gantt.
Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM Sunday at Westview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:30 PM Sunday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to Amedisys Hospice, 880 South Pleasantburg Drive, Greenville, SC 29607.
The family is at the residence.
