Ben Hendricks, 78, of Zion Church Road, passed away Monday, March 2, 2015 in Okeechobee, FL.
Born in Liberty, a son of the late Edwin Franklin and Christine "Teenie" Looper Hendricks, Mr. Hendricks retired as a supervisor with American Enka and later drove tour buses for Charter Coach Company. He was a member of Bates Masonic Lodge and Hejaz Shrine Scottish Rite. Mr. Hendricks was a veteran of the US Navy. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-nine years, Maybelle Bagwell Hendricks of the home; a brother, James Hendricks (Elma) of Lakeland, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hendricks was predeceased by a brother, Harold Hendricks and by a sister, Annie Laura Findley.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Friday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 12:30 until 1:45 PM Friday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to Zion United Methodist Church, 432 Zion Church Road, Easley, SC 29642.
