Benjamin Clive "Uncle Haint" McConnell, 47, of 123 North Mill Pond Road, died Friday, May 4, 2007, at his home.
Born in Pickens County, a son of the late Clive West McConnell and the late Ruby G. McConnell Ellis, Mr. McConnell retired as a welder and was a member of Wayside Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Tyson McConnell of Liberty; two sisters, Cindy Fisher of Easley, and Crystal O'Donnell of Hendersonville,NC; his grandmother, Loretta O. McConnell of Easley; and his close companion, Ukena Slattery of Liberty. In addition to his parents, Mr. McConnell was predeceased by a brother, Russell McConnell.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pickens County Humane Society, 500 Five Forks Road, Liberty, SC 29657.
