Benny Ray Roper, 73, husband of Pat Campbell Roper, passed away on Monday at St. Francis Hospital.

Mr. Roper was born in Greenville County, and was the son of the late, Naomi Hamby Cox. He loved woodworking, including making furniture and doll houses and was retired from the U. S. Army and was a member of Easley First Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are two daughters, Amy McJunkin and her husband, Michael, of Pickens, and AnnMarie Hunnicutt of Augusta, GA; two sisters, Sandra Roper and Patti Messervy both of Easley; grandchildren, Jonathan, Katie and Lauren Manley, Jon-Michael McJunkin, Aidan and Octavia Hunnicutt, and a son in law, Richard Manley.

In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by a daughter, Melinda Manley.

Graveside services will be Thursday, November 19, 2020, at 1:30 PM at M. J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery in Anderson.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105
