Berdena S. Staaf, 79, passed away Friday, July 12, 2019. She was born in Franklin, Pennsylvania June 13, 1940. She was the daughter of John and Lena Hoffman Shouey. She married Robert J. Staaf on August 26, 1961 and they had 3 children, Bob, Mark and Jeff.
After high school, she pursued her nursing degree. She worked as a Legal Executive Secretary in her husband's law practice for many years.
Later in life, she decided to further her nursing education with an Associates Degree in Nursing (ADA). She worked in the critical care unit, home health care and in a nursing home.
Berdena loved gardening and working in her yard. She had a green thumb when it came to all her plants. Berdena also loved all animals and she rescued many over the years.
Berdena is survived by her son Bob and his wife Karen, her son Mark and his wife Lori; five grandchildren; Scott, Michael, Elizabeth, Taylor, and Josh; seven great grandchildren; and two sisters, Paige and Ruth. In addition to her parents, Berdena was predeceased by her husband Robert of 30 years; a son, Jeff; and a brother Chuck.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 27 at the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, 108 Cross Creek Road, Central. Interment will be private.
