Bernard “Benny” David Veltri, 41, of Easley, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026.

Born in Newark, New Jersey, on December 4, 1984, Benny lived a life marked by independence, intelligence, and a warm, infectious laugh that resonated with those around him. Benny graduated from Belleville High School in Belleville, New Jersey, where his love for learning and creativity first began to shine. He possessed a deep appreciation for the arts, expressing himself through writing song lyrics, composing poems, and creating drawings that reflected his artistic spirit. An avid enthusiast of cars, Benny took special pride in his 1999 Ford F150, keeping it in excellent condition and enjoying the time spent with it. His curiosity was boundless, he relished researching and gaining knowledge, always eager to explore new topics. Known as a loving son, Benny’s thoughtful nature and unique perspective touched the lives of those who knew him. His legacy is one of creativity, passion, and an enduring spirit that will be fondly remembered.

Benny is survived by his father, Mikey Hovath; his mother, Elizabeth Gail Veltri Patti (James Michael Patti); two brothers, Michael Anthony Veltri (Gina), and Jonathon Robert Veltri (Quay); seven nieces and nephews, Anthony Veltri, Emma Veltri, Lily Veltri, Peyton Veltri, Delilah Veltri, Kamryn Veltri, and Nora Veltri; as well as two aunts, Deborah Sinacori (Thomas), and Brenda Veltri.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Robinson Funeral Home – Powdersville Road.
