Bernice Parsons Dobson,86, widow of Wess Dobson, died Friday, March 30, 2012 at the Magnolia's in Anderson. Born in Pickens County she was the daughter of the late J.E. and Ola Nobles Parson. She studied music with the late Mrs. J. B. Childs at Central Wesleyan and has taught piano in the Central, Pendleton and Six Mile areas for more than 50 years.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Central, a member and former teacher of the Gleaners Sunday School Class and served as church pianist.
Surviving are a son, Mac Dobson (Cindy) of Anderson, one grandson, Matthew Dobson and fiance, Lindsey Griffin, of Huntersville, NC. She was the beloved aunt to many neices and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother, Gerald Parsons.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson funeral Home, Central with burial to follow at Memory Gardens, Clemson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30-3pm prior to the service. Flowers accepted or memorial may be made to Central 1st Baptist Church, 207 Johnson Road, Central,SC 29630.
