Bertha "Bert" G. Edgington, 97 of Easley, South Carolina died Monday, January 8, 2018
at Brookdale Easley Nursing Home. She was born November 27,1920 in Geneva Illinois, a daughter of the late Ralph and Antoinette "Eva" (Mitkus) Pacuinas. Her first marriage was to Charles "Chuck" Christopher Edgington. They resided in Elgin, Illinois and had two children, Linda L. Edgington Klausing (son-in-law Richard) and Charles "Chuck"James Edgington (daughter-in-law Sandy). In retirement they moved to Punta Gorda, Florida. Charles "Chuck" Edgington passed away in 1984. Bert married Charles Ulric Demontigny in 2001 in Punta Gorda, Florida. Bert enjoyed traveling throughout the world traveling to Europe, South America, Australia, but she was definitely interested in traveling into outer space. She was an artist, and loved tennis, golf and riding her three wheel bicycle. She loved all of her friends and there was never a party that she did not want to attend. She loved her two children and especially her grandson Sandy Stuart Smith and his wife Stacy.

Survivors include her 2nd husband Charles Demontigny; daughter, Linda (Edgington-Smith) Klausing; son, Charles 'Chuck' J. Edgington and his wife Sandy Edgington; one grandchild, Sandy Stuart Smith and his wife Stacy Smith; and a step-daughter, Margaret Flaherty and her husband Edward.
In addition to her 1st husband Chuck and parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Louis "Louie" and Edward "Eddie"; and one sister, Mildred Hines.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
