Mrs. Bertie Arflin Porter, 81, wife of the late J.D. Porter, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at Hosanna Health and Rehab, Piedmont.
Born in Anderson County, a daughter of the late Dayton and Lucy Savage Arflin, Mrs. Porter was a retired retail sales clerk and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are a daughter, Trena Gambrell of Easley; four grandchildren, Brandi, Ian, Nicole and Elizabeth; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Porter was predeceased by six brothers, Wilbur, John, Lewis, George, Orbie and Jim Arflin.
Memorial services will be 5:30 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2011 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
