Bessie Mae Smith Bloodworth, 79, of 824 Hamlin Road,formerly of 100 Dowling Street, wife of the late C.B. Bloodworth, died Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at Hospice of the Upstate.

Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late William Elmer and Ina Nix Smith, Mrs. Bloodworth retired from the Glenwood Plant of Mayfair Mills after forty-six years of service and was as a member of Glenwood Wesleyan Church.

Surviving are a son, Dell Bloodworth of Olathe, KS; a daughter, Brenda Sheridan and husband Jimmy of Easley; a brother, Grover Smith of Easley; three sisters, Ann Smith, Lucille Mason, and Frances Delozier, all of Easley; and a granddaughter, Debra Sheridan of Easley, SC.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm, Saturday , July 26, 2008 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Harold Nicholson, Rev. Steve Love and Chaplain Mike Lincoln officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm ,Saturday, at the funeral home, prior to the funeral service

The family is at the home of the brother at 512 Lia Way, Easley,SC.
