Elizabeth Kennon McCracken

Elizabeth Kennon McCracken, 54, of Clemson, passed away on July 19, 2026.

Beth’s passion for learning shaped her professional and personal journey. She attended Appalachian State University, where she earned her Masters degree, laying the foundation for a career that would touch countless lives. As an elementary school teacher, Beth taught first grade and, most notably, shared her expertise and enthusiasm as a Reading Intervention Specialist. She devoted her talents and compassion to students at Central Academy of The Arts and Clemson Elementary School.

Beyond her professional life, Beth found fulfillment and joy in time spent with loved ones. She treasured family above all else, considering it her proudest accomplishment. Her free time was filled with activities that brought her closer to nature and those she cherished. She enjoyed yoga, the serenity of the outdoors, days at the lake and the beach, and was an active member of her Bible study group, where she found encouragement. The Lord’s word and guidance remained a steady source of strength and comfort throughout her life.

Beth's life was also enriched by her faith. As a member of First Baptist Church of Clemson, she nurtured relationships and gave back to the community that meant so much to her.

Beth is survived by her cherished husband, Kevin McCracken; son, Thomas McCracken; daughter, Rosalie McCracken; father, Roger Anderson; brother, Christopher Anderson; and sister, Sarah Anderson O’Neill.

Beth is preceded in death by her mother, Anne Anderson.

A memorial service to honor Beth’s life will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Clemson, 397 College Ave, Clemson, SC 29631. Visitation will follow the service in the Church’s Family Life Center.

Beth’s family is encouraging everyone attending the memorial service to bring with them elementary age books and school supplies to show her love for students in need at Central Academy of The Arts, and Clemson Elementary.
