Bettie J. Hall, 83, of Easley, SC, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025, in Greenville, SC. The loving wife of the late Hershel Hall, Bettie and Hershel were married for 42 years. Born in Martinsville, VA., she is the daughter of the late Edith Jones and Garrett Ferguson.
A devoted servant of God, Bettie found joy in sharing the word and guiding others through faith. She was always eager to share his message, and she lived a life dedicated to teaching and nurturing the spiritual growth of others.
Bettie was a dedicated and accomplished nurse for over 35 years. She began as an LPN, and through hard work and relentless dedication to her ongoing education, she eventually became a respected and beloved Director of nurses and nursing educator and was nominated for “Who’s Who in American Nursing” by the Society of Nursing Professionals. She was known for her compassion, commitment, and expertise, and she made a lasting impact on the lives of countless patients, families, and the healthcare community.
Bettie is survived by her two children, Christopher Loope and Randa Mellon(Rob) of Easley as well as 6 grandchildren, Aaron Bater(Cherysh), Emily Powlas(Matt), Jennifer Fisher(Karl), Dustin Wilson, and Steven Wilson. She also leaves behind a brother, Barry Price.
In addition to her husband, Bettie is preceded in death by her parents, Henry Garrett Ferguson and Edith Jones, her son, Michael Wilson, her grandson, Joshua Bedingfield, and two sisters, Patricia Johnson and Linda Todd.
Her family will receive friends on April 11, 2025, at Powdersville First Baptist Church in Easley, South Carolina, from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. A burial will immediately follow the service at Robinson Memorial Gardens in Easley, SC.
