Mrs. Elizabeth (Betty) Tanner Allen, 78, wife of the late Charles Allen, formerly of 566 Turner Hill Rd., passed away Sunday, November 13, 2011 at The Haven at Chanticleer Assisted Living.
Born April 21, 1933 in Greenville County, Mrs. Allen was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Frances Caddell Tanner. She retired from R.V. Chandler and Associates, and was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Greenville.
She is survived by her brothers, Robert D. (Bob) Tanner of Piedmont, David B. Tanner (Patricia) of Greenville and a niece, Leigh Tanner of Boston.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 15, 2011 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Entombment will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens, Chapel of Reflection Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 PM Tuesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels, 15 Oregon St., Greenville, SC 29605.
