Betty Ann Fowler Rozier, age 92, of Easley, South Carolina, passed away on April 29, 2026. Born on January 28, 1934, in Anderson, South Carolina, she was the oldest child of the late Bonham Fowler and Ellen Henrietta Branyon Fowler.
Betty was preceded in death by her beloved husband of nearly 52 years, Cyril McKiver Rozier; her parents; her sister, Margaret Ellen Fowler Adams; and her brother, David Eugene Fowler.
She is survived by her brother, Wilton B. Fowler, and her five children: Timothy McKiver Rozier (Catherine), Thomas Edward Rozier, Beth Camille Rozier, Leigh Ann Rozier Suarez (Jose Luis), and Margaret Kelly Rozier Smith (George Gregory).
She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Stephen Michael Masters; Karen Elizabeth Matheney (Daniel), and their son, Josiah Alexander Matheney; James McKiver Rozier (Lydia), and their children, Theodore McKiver Rozier and Naomi Rozier; Christopher Henry Rozier, and his daughter, Willow May McCamis; Suzanne Rock (AJ); Jennifer Davne Rozier; Alexander Robbins Rozier; Luis Miguel Suarez; Ana Beatriz Pedersen (Brennan); and Connor McKiver Smith (Monica), and their daughter, Clary Smith.
A lifelong learner and dedicated educator, Betty graduated from Girls High School in Anderson, Class of 1952. After raising her family, she began pursuing her college education in 1974, attending Francis Marion University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with honors in 1978. She later continued her studies and earned her Master of Education from the University of South Carolina in 1987. Her determination and commitment to education served as an inspiration to all who knew her.
Betty devoted over 20 years to teaching at Lake View Elementary School and Latta Elementary School, shaping the lives of countless students. Prior to her teaching career, she worked as a billing clerk with Mullins Leaf Tobacco Company in Mullins, South Carolina.
Faith and community were central to Betty's life. She was a devoted member of Lake View United Methodist Church for more than 45 years and later a member of Easley First United Methodist Church, where she was active as a Sunday School teacher and in other areas of service.
Betty and Cyril were married on June 13, 1952, and shared a loving partnership for nearly 52 years. Together, they built a life centered on family, faith, and perseverance.
The family will hold a private memorial service in Easley, SC and a graveside service on June 13, 2026, at Lake View Cemetery in Dillon County, SC.
