Betty J. Bradley

Betty Jane Bradley, 90, formerly of Watchung, NJ and more recently of D-204 Clemson Downs, Clemson, SC, died May 22, 2010 at the Cottingham Hospice House in Seneca, SC.
Born in Kirkwood, MO, Betty lived most of her life in the Plainfield, NJ area where she was a much loved and faithful member of the (Episcopal) Church of the Holy Cross and the founder of its thrift store ministry, "Betty's Basement." For 21 years she worked in New York City for IRI, a grant-funded organization that provided scholarships to graduate students from developing countries. She was an active participant for many years in the Foreign Policy Council.
After retirement, Betty earned her bachelors and masters degrees in history from Fairleigh Dickenson University and was a founding member of the Planned Giving Leadership Council there.
Devoted to her family, she is survived by a sister, Frances B. Russell of Summit Place Living Center, Simpsonville, SC; and many nephews and nieces.
Burial of her ashes will be at Hillside Cemetery, Plainfield, NJ at a time yet to be determined.
