Mrs. Betty Dawson Bruce, 61, wife of the late Jerry Bruce, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015 in Honea Path.
Born in Knoxville, TN., a daughter of the late Carl Lester and Myrtle Weaver Dawson, Mrs. Bruce was the former owner and operator of the K&S Restaurant in Greenville and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are a son, Thomas H. Franklin of Greenville; a brother, Ronnie Dawson of Williamston; two sisters, Libby Sharrock of Easley, and Faye Vaughn of Honea Path; and two grandsons, Hunter and Payton Franklin. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Bruce was predeceased by a brother, Johnny Dawson, and a sister, Lois Wilkerson.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, February 28, 2015 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery, Marietta.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.
Memorials may be made to Interim HealthCare Hospice, 155 Deacon Tiller Court, Duncan, SC 29334.
