Betty Lollis Cannon, 80, of 201 Augusta Street, died Thursday, December 6, 2007, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Born in Greenville County, a daughter of the late Earl and Iber Gibson Lollis, Mrs. Cannon retired as a bookkeeper with Sherwin-Williams, and was a member of First Baptist Church, Easley. She was the first female member of the Easley City Council.

Surviving are her husband, Henry "Ike" Cannon of the home; a son, Hank Cannon and wife, Cathy, of Greenville; two daughters, Cathay Rodgers and husband, Walt, of Easley, and Susan Nettles and husband, Shawn, of Walterboro; a brother, Billy Earl Lollis of Greenville; three sisters, Hazel Holder, Becky Emory and Margie Campbell, all of Greenville; six grandchildren, Walter Rodgers and Keith Rodgers, Melissa Nettles Cribb and Lucas Nettles, John Cannon and Sunday Cannon; and a great-granddaughter, Lynleigh Rodgers. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cannon was predeceased by two brothers, Frank Lollis and Julian Lollis.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church, Easley, with Rev. Dr. John Adams officiating. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Reflection of Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.

The body is at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown where the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Saturday and will be placed in the church at 1:00 p.m. Sunday.

Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of First Baptist Church, 300 East First Avenue, Easley, SC 29640.

The family is at the residence.
