Bessie Lee Waldrop Snider Cater, 98, of 101 Coker Circle, went home to be with the Lord on August 17, 2006 at Palmetto Health Baptist in Easley. She was a daughter of the late Robert and Nettie Nelson Waldrop. She worked for several years at Canon Mills and was a member of Mount Tabor Baptist Church in Clemson.
She is survived by a son, Paul W. Snider, Sr., Central; daughters, Bertie S. Moore, Louise Cater, Wake Forest, NC, Mary Cater, Central; 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 26 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, Bry Snider, her second husband John W. Cater and a son, George Cater.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 3pm in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home. Ministers will be Rev. Richard F. Burgess and Rev. Bob Lentz. Interment will follow at Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery in Six Mile. The family will receive friends Sunday prior to the service from 2-3pm at the funeral home.
