Betty Jean "Granny" Nichols Collins, 80, of 526 Woodland Circle and widow of Earl Clinton Collins died Saturday, October 27, 2012 at her residence.

Born in Clinton she was a daughter of the late Roy and Eleanor Arnold Nichols. "Granny" was a cook at Waffle King in Pendleton for over 32 years and was of the Baptist faith..

Surviving are 2 sons, Bill Collins (Bennie) of Abbeville and Leon Collins of Anderson; daughter, Betty Ann Pruitt (Bobby) of Pendleton; sister, Mallie Dillman of Williamston; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Melvin Nichols; and sisters, Evelyn Dooley and Theresa Phillips.

Funeral services will be 3 PM, Tuesday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home with burial to follow in Refuge Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Monday at the funeral home.

The family is at the home.
