Betty Jo Dobson

Betty Jo Dobson, 81, passed away peacefully Friday, July 12, 2019. She was born in Westminster, SC November 8, 1937, a daughter of Garnett F. and Maybee McDonald Pelfrey. Betty was a long-time member of The Church of God (Midway).

Due to some long-term health problems Betty didn't have a regular job, but she embraced with her whole being the role of homemaker. She raised her children the best she knew how and taught them about her Lord and Savior.

In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by her four brothers, Eugene, Alvin, Clem, and Bud Pelfrey and daughter-in-law, Samantha Dobson. She is survived by a son, Dennis Dobson of Central; four daughters, Sybil Wilson (Tommy) of Central, Mabis Jo Lambreth and Maryland Rogers, both of Alabama, and Ovaline Smith (Matt) of Sumter.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 15 at 3:30 PM at the chapel of the Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, 108 Cross Creek Road, Central, with interment at Memory Gardens in Clemson.

The family will receive friends from 2-3:15 PM prior to the service.
