Betty McAlister Ellison, 71, of 193 South McAlister Road, wife of the late Joe Ellison, died Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Easley, Mrs. Ellison was a daughter of the late Jessie E. and Ida Cleveland McAlister.
Mrs. Ellison is survived by a son Tony Ellison (Tinna), of Easley; four daughters, Missy Black (Tony), Benita Black and Melinda Portman (Steven) all of Easley and Evelyn Reid (Randy) of Pickens; one brother, Donnie McAlister (Linda) of Easley; three sisters, Bonnie McCollum, Barbara Schofield and Patricia McAlister all of Easley; 15 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road with the Rev. Charlie Bishop and Rev. Gordon Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Grace Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM Saturday, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of a sister, Pat McAlister, 231 South McAlister Road, Easley, SC 29642.
