Betty Love Ridgeway Evans, 76, of 404 Dewsbury Lane, passed away Monday, February 4, 2008 at her home.

Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Ralph R. and Robbeye Nell Turner Ridgeway. Mrs. Evans worked at Meyers-Arnold Department Store as a buyer for Gifts, China, and House wares from the age of 19 until the closing of the store. Meyers-Arnold was her second family and friends. She was a member of Welcome Baptist Church and a former President of the Welcome Community Club. Most importantly, she was a wonderful, loving, and devoted wife and mother. She loved her grandchildren with all her heart and they were very special to her.

Surviving are her husband, Thomas Waymond Evans of the home; two daughters, Tutti Hall and husband Reggie of Easley, Jenny Evans of Powdersville; a brother, Riggie Ridgeway and wife Kathy of Easley; a sister, Robbie Dudash of Easley; three grandchildren, Evan Hall and wife Ashley of Williamston, Emily Hall of Easley, Turner Pike and fiance Emily Houston of Powdersville; two nieces, Rionne Lee Ridgeway, Jodie Dudash, both of Easley; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, O'Neal and Nancy Evans of Piedmont.

Funeral services will be 1 PM Wednesday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road with Reverend Dave Shorter officiating. Entombment will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be prior to the service on Wednesday from Noon - 1:00 PM at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation; 37 Villa Road; Greenville, SC 29615.

The family is at the home.
