Betty Jean Evitt, of Greenville, wife of the late Henry J. Evitt Jr., went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Sunday, March 6, 2016.
Born in Jackson County, NC to the late Vernon Bryson and Bonnie Stiwinter Bryson Sherrill.
Betty was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley, where she attended the Willing Workers Sunday School Class.
In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by her grandson, Chad Hood.
Surviving are her sons, Donnie W. Evitt of Easley and Dennis J. Evitt of Greenville; daughter, Debbie J. Ellison (Bill) of Easley; sister, Nancy Cisson of Marietta; grandchildren, Stacey Ferguson (Marty) of Piedmont, Heather Foster (Jason) of Greenville, Kevin Evitt (Jessica) of Greenville, and Amanda Hester (Josh) of Piedmont; great-grandchildren, Corey, Bryson, Caleb, Hannah, Case, Colby, Aden, and Matthew; great-great-grandchild, Aaliyah.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, March 10th, at 11:00 AM in Rock Springs Baptist Church, 201 Rock Springs Road, with Rev. Dr. David Gallamore officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, March 9th from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.
Family has requested donations be made directly to the Building Fund of Rock Springs Baptist Church, 201 Rock Springs Road, Easley, SC 29642.
Family will be at the residence.
