Betty Fortner Houston, 84, of Rampey Street, wife of the late Donald Woodrow Houston, passed away Thursday, July 20, 2017.
Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Inez Corley Fortner.
Mrs. Houston was retired from Alice Manufacturing Company, Foster Plant. She was a member of Arial United Methodist Church and former Treasurer. She loved flowers and collecting baskets.
Surviving are three sons, Tim Houston (Rita) of Lexington, Rev. Mitchell Houston (Martha) of Summerville and Gregg Houston (Jenny) of Easley; six grandchildren, Josh Houston (Mirian), Christopher Houston (Danielle), Benjamin Houston, Ryan Houston, Andrew Houston (Angie) and Carrie Houston; and two great-granddaughters, Elana Maria Houston and Lillian Jane Houston.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Houston was predeceased by a sister, Joan Ross.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with Reverend Mitchell Houston and Reverend Roger Gwinn officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM at the funeral home.
Flowers will be accepted.
