Betty K. Kelly, 80, longtime resident of Easley, wife of the late John W. Kelly, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Rainey Hospice House.
Born September 26, 1933 in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late James and May Lady Kelly. Mrs. Kelly moved to the upstate with her husband of over fifty years and began a successful architectural firm where she was the executive secretary. She loved her family, shopping, taking trips, movies, going to church, attending plays with friends, and had a wonderful smile that could light up a room. Mrs. Kelly was an avid reader of books and researcher of family genealogy.
She is survived by her loving sons, John Kelly, Jr. (Carolyn Boltin-Kelly), Michael Kelly (Lolly Tai) and Scott Kelly (Cyndi); sister, Lucy Kelly; grandchildren, Christopher, Kimberly, Neala, Stella and Carly, all whom brought great joy to her.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Faye Dion and Alice Kelly; and brothers, Herbert Davenport and Sidney Davenport.
Graveside services will be private.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 3:45 PM Tuesday at Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.
