Mrs. Betty Waldrop Owens, 87, wife of the late Melvin "Pug" Owens, went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, January 29, 2022.
Born in Easley, SC, a daughter of the late Olen Benson Waldrop and the late Addis Bridges Waldrop, Mrs. Owens attended Easley High School and retired from Woodside Mills with thirty-four years of service. She was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church where she belonged to the Lucille Searcy Sunday School Class.
Surviving are her two daughters, Deborah Owens Bagwell (Randy), and Jan Owens Barnes (Mike), both of Easley; her sister, Nancy W. McLeod of Simpsonville; her three grandchildren, David Bagwell (Leslie), Elizabeth Stephens (Jeff), and Everett Barnes; and her four great-grandchildren, Brantley and Lane Stephens, and Aubrey and Luke Bagwell. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Owens was predeceased by her brother, Harold Waldrop.
Betty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family. She will be dearly missed by all that loved and knew her.
Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, prior to the graveside service.
