Mrs. Betty Barnwell Patterson, 77, of 107 Clay St., wife of the late Cecil Carl Patterson, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012 at her home.
Born June 25, 1934 in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Lillie Lee Teat Barnwell. Mrs. Patterson retired from Woodside Mills and was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church. She devoted her life to her husband and family.
She is survived by her son, Alan Patterson (Kim); sisters, Sue Entrekin and Shelby Freeman; grandchildren, Dixie Waldrop (Ray), Jason Patterson, and Krista Patterson; great-grandchildren, Cross Patterson, Jadyn Patterson, Elisabella Patterson and Dowlen Waldrop; and granddaughter-in-law Lisa Patterson.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Franklin Barnwell and James Barnwell.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday, May 14, 2012 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:45 PM Monday prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family is at the home.
