Betty Mitchell Ramey, 75, of 209 Sitton Road, wife of the late Major Redmond Ramey, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, January 17, 2009, at Hospice of the Upstate.
Born in Anderson County, a daughter of the late Jesse William and Corene Hand Mitchell, Mrs. Ramey, along with her late husband, were owners of Ramey's Cabinet Shop and was a member of Life Springs Church of God.
Surviving are a son, Michael Dale Ramey of Troy; a daughter, Toni Garland and husband, Ricky, of Easley; a sister, Eunice "Bug" Bailey of Greer; two grandchildren, Dana G. Kushin and husband, Robert, and Win Garland; and two great-grandchildren, who were the love of her life, Brayden and Landon Kushin. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Ramey was predeceased by a brother, Jesse William Mitchell, Jr., and three sisters, Margie Day, Margaret Hollingsworth and Myrtle McFalls.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road with Rev. Jerry Madden and Rev. Scott Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley.
Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
