Betty Lawrence Ray, 71, wife of the late John F. Ray, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Rainey Hospice House.
Mrs. Ray was born in Pickens County, a daughter of Wilma Williamson Lawrence of Clemson and the late Henry Maurice Lawrence. She was retired from Clemson University where she worked at the Clemson House and was a member of Clemson First Baptist Church. Betty enjoyed all the people she met in her 39 years at the Clemson House and considered her co-workers her extended family. She loved her Yorkshire Terrier, Charlie.
Surviving in addition to her mother are a son, John Ray of Clemson and a sister, Mary (Mickey) Norris of Concord, NC and nieces, Andrea (Greg) Rubin and Patricia (Randy) Mann.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
