Mrs. Betty Sue Foster Ward, 78, of 106 Merganser Court, Easley, SC, formerly of 176 Stradley Mountain Road, Asheville, NC, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at her residence.

Betty Sue was born in Asheville, NC on May 28, 1936 to the late Junius Lee and Elva Young Foster Sr. She graduated from Candler High School in 1954 and retired as a Data Processor with the Eaton Corporation, formerly known as Westinghouse. She loved working out in her yard, being outdoors, and especially loved spending time with her family. Betty Sue attended Piney Mountain United Methodist Church in Candler, NC as a child and then attended Liberty Christian Outreach in Liberty, SC upon moving to the area.

Mrs. Ward is survived by two sisters; Mary Lee Foster Gaddy of Candler, NC, and Ellen Foster Davis of Easley, SC; 18 Nieces and Nephews; 41 Great-Nieces and Nephews; 53 Great-Great-Nieces and Nephews; and 8 Great-Great-Great-Nieces and Nephews. Betty Sue is also survived by a special friend, John Parris of Asheville, NC.

In addition to her parents, Betty Sue was preceded in death by three brothers; William Lee Foster, James Calvin Foster, and Junius Lee Foster, Jr.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Piney Mountain United Methodist Church in Candler, NC with the Rev. Michael Morris and Rev. Chris Foster officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 6, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, 305 W. Main Street, Easley, SC 29640. They will also receive friends on Saturday prior to the service at the church from 10:00 until 10:45 AM.

The family is at the residence.

Flowers are optional, or memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621, or to Liberty Christian Outreach Church Building Fund, PO Box 387, Liberty, SC 29657.
