Beulah Mae Baxter, wife of the late Luther Willis Baxter Jr., passed away on October 29, 2024 at the age of 94.
Born on February 21, 1930 in Sinai, Kentucky, she was a daughter of William and Valeria Sea Brown.
Beulah enjoyed spending her time reading, one of her favorite books from her childhood was "Heidi". When she wasn't reading Beulah would spend her time playing Bridge with her friends and family. She also enjoyed creating beautiful Christmas ornaments from goose eggs. Beulah found companionship in her beloved cats, Ivan and Bojangles who brought joy and warmth to her home. But above all else, Beulah loved spending time with her family.
Beulah is survived by her loving daughters Anne Johnson (Joseph), of East Flat Rock, NC, Deborah Leigh Huggins (Bill) of Anderson; her son John Baxter (Brenda) of Los Cruces, NM; her Grandchildren Martin and Jennifer Knopp and Jessica Anne Toll (Andrew); her great Grandchildren Cayson, Sebastian and Ryan Knopp; her brother Forest Brown (Betty Lee); her sisters Marie Hyatt, and Shelby Leathers; her and her brother in law Tommy Russell.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Beulah was preceded in death by her brothers Marvin Brown (Frances), Charles Brown (Judy); her sisters Maggie B. (Rudolph), and Barbara Ann "Judy"; and her brothers in law George Hyatt and Richard Leathers; her two cats Ivan and Bojangles, and her best friend Jacky Shadowen.
A visitation will be held Sunday November 3, 2024 from 1:30 PM until 2:45 PM at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home.
A Funeral Service for Beulah will be held at 3:00PM in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Old Stone Church Cemetery directly after the service.
