Mr. William Ernest "Bill" Hands, 63, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016 in Hospice Valor at Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC.
Born in Westminster, SC, he was a son of the late Don and Frances Pitts Hands.
Mr. Hands was retired from the South Carolina Department of Transportation and was of the Baptist faith. He was a US Army Veteran having served in the Vietnam War. He loved his family, loved to fish, and enjoyed being outdoors.
Surviving are his wife, Brenda E. Hands of the home; a daughter, Christy Hands-Rogers (Terence) of Easley; a son, William Cameron and a granddaughter, Phoenix Hands-Rogers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Brandon Michael Hands, and grandson, Dreavyn Matthias Rogers.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 2:00 PM in Fort Jackson National Cemetery in Columbia, SC.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Thursday from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
The family will be at the home.
