Bill Owens

William Franklin “Bill” Owens, of Spring Street and husband of Betty McCoy Owens, passed away Friday December 18, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital after a long illness.
Born in the Six and Twenty Community in Anderson County, he was the son of the late Harold and Margie Sargent Owens.
Mr. Owens worked for several body shops throughout his career and owned his body shop where his motto was “We Take the Dents out of Accidents. He restored antique cars, and was a member of the AAA A-Model Club. He also loved showing his restored cars at shows and fishing. He was a member of Glenwood Baptist Church where he was a former Deacon, RA leader and choir member.
In addition to his wife of 63 years, he is survived by a daughter, Pam Owens Brock (Zane) of Flowery Branch, GA; grandchildren, Mallory Brock Parker (Reed) of Dacula, GA and Anzlee Brock of Buford, GA; great grandson, Brock Franklin Parker; and a brother, Charles Owens of Canandaigua, NY.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday December 20, 2015 at 2:00 PM in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the building fund of Glenwood Baptist Church, 325 Saco Lowell Road Easley, SC 29640.
The family will be at the home.
