Billie Margaret Hatcher Burdette, a beloved spouse of the late Charles “Mac” Burdette, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025, at the age of 88, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on June 16, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Furman and Edna Duncan Hatcher. Billie was the owner and operator of, "Billie's Kountry Kafe,".
Billie was a joy to be around. She had a passion for singing, often humming her favorite tune, "I'll Fly Away." As a devoted mother and grandmother, Billie exemplified selflessness and support, always making time to be there for those she cared about. She was a member of Freedom Fellowship Church in Central.
Billie is survived by her four children; Boyd Burdette (Elena) of Lexington, Wanda Holbrook (Bobby) of West Union, Judy Mills (Charles - deceased) of Greenville, and Deborah Jones (Ernie) of Pendleton; sixteen grandchildren, thirty four great grandchildren, and ten great-great grandchildren. She is also the beloved sister of the late Minnie Shirley, the late John Hatcher, Ray Hatcher, Charles Hatcher, Grace Hatcher, and Jeanette Marlowe.
Billie's memory will be honored with a visitation at Freedom Fellowship, located at 1038 Church St, Central, SC, on January 27, 2025, from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM, followed by a funeral service that will begin at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Freedom Fellowship, 1038 Church Street, Central, SC 29630 or Agape Hospice of the Upstate.
