Mrs. Billie Rae Gaines, 82, wife of the late Thomas Lee Gaines, Sr., passed away Sunday, October 2, 2011 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Greenville County, a daughter of the late Ray and Ludie Mae Suiter Brown, Mrs. Gaines retired from Manufacturing Distribution and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are two sons, Tommy Gaines (Teresa) of Greenville and Steve Gaines (Cheryl) of Easley; two daughters, Debbie Burger (Gerald) of Easley and Cheryl Hudson of Greenville; one brother, Charlie Brown of Laurens; seven grandchildren, Thomas Lee Gaines, III, Shannon Hardin, Stacey Metcalf, Andrew Gaines, Abbye Gaines, Trey Hudson and Chelsea Hudson; and four great grandchildren, Jordan Gaines, Kendra Lea Holder, Knox Hardin and Callie Metcalf. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Gaines was predeceased by one brother and one sister.
Funeral services will be 5:30 PM Tuesday, October 4, 2011 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road. Private committal will take place in the Chapel of Relection Mausoleum of Robinson Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 5:15 PM Tuesday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
The family is at the home of her daughter, Debbie Burger, 2701 Brushy Creek Road, Easley, SC 29642.
