Billy Leroy Chappell, 65, husband of Martha Wimpey Chappell, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Pickens County, to the late Preston and Mary Dean Chappell, Billy was a spreader and a cutter at Carolina Fashions in Greer. In his off time, Billy loved to fish and go deer hunting.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Brenda L. Odom (John) of Florida; a brother, Calvin M. Chappell; a sister, Marie Belt; seven grandchildren, Derrick E. Chappell, Destin M. Chappell, Ashley R. Odom, Haley S. Odom, Heather Chappell, Courtney Chappell and Tommy Chappell; and one great-grandson.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Billy E. Chappell.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
The family is at the home.
