Billy Ray Dunn, 81, husband of Winona Adcox Dunn, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Hampton Regional Medical Center in Varnville, SC.
Born in Pickens County, to the late Leonard Jay and Minnie Baldwin Dunn, Billy Ray was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, having served in the Korean War. An educated man, Mr. Dunn loved to read about anything and everything. He even enrolled in classes, later on in his life, just to learn more on subjects he was interested in. Aside from reading, Mr. Dunn enjoyed real estate, and occasionally hunting. He was a Mason, a member of the Amercan Legion and a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, is a daughter, Janet Medlin (Alvin) of Pickens; a son, Dave Dunn (Donna) of Pickens; four grandchildren, Lyle Medlin, Deanna Pace, Ashtin Johnson and Austin Dunn; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers, Paul, Charles, Harold and L.E. Dunn; and two sisters, Margaret Dunn and Arcina Turner.
Graveside services will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Easley.
A visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until 2:30 P.M. Saturday, at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.
The family is at their respective residences.
