William Herbert "Billy" Farr, Jr., of Countryside Village, formerly of 105 Homeland Court, Easley SC, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2010, after several years of declining health.
Born July 12, 1938, Mr. Farr was the only child of the late W.H. Farr and Margaret Garrison Farr. He was a lifetime resident of Easley.
Mr. Farr graduated from Easley High School in 1956 and attended Clemson University. He was the former owner of Easley Equipment Company and Farr Trucks and Equipment. Mr. Farr was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church. He enjoyed western novels, southern gospel music, vintage cars and farm machinery.
Surviving are two children from his first marriage, a son, Danny Farr and wife, Lynn, and a daughter Alicia Clinger and husband, Glenn, both of Easley.
His second wife, Donna, predeceased him.
Graveside services will be 2:30 pm Saturday at Westview Cemetery in Easley.
Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 pm Saturday at Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Antioch United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1128, Easley, SC 29641.
The family is at the home of Alicia and Glenn Clinger, 209 Pine Ridge Drive, Easley, SC 29642.
