Billy Welton Finley, 75, of 8879 Moorefield Memorial Highway, died Thursday, March 27, 2008 at his home.
Born in Easley, SC, Mr. Finley was a son of the late Ben Tillman and Mayme Duncan Finley. He spent his whole working life with LaFrance Industries in Sandy Springs, SC. He was a member of IPTAY for 33 years and was a life long member of Flat Rock Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Usher and Sunday School teacher.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Mary Lee Finley of the home; a son, Dean Finley and his wife, Elizabeth, of Central; granddaughters, Samantha Finley of Charleston, Amanda Finley of Clemson, Duski Coleman of Simpsonville and Evans Koinskie of Easley; a great-grandson, Cooper Koinskie; a brother, Alton Finley and his wife, Lorene of Pendleton.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers, O.B., Felton and Wylie Finley.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Saturday at Flat Rock Baptist Church with Revs. Doug Goss and Dick Patton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 PM, Saturday prior to the service in the church.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Building Fund of Flat Rock Baptist Church, 115 Slab Bridge Road, Liberty, SC 29657 or to Winyah Hospice Care, 880 Pleasantburg Drive, Suite 1A, Greenville, SC 29607.
The family is at the home.
