Billy K. ShirleyLiberty, SCTSgt Billy Keith Shirley, USAirForce, Ret., 82, of 105 Pineview Drive, died Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the R.M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home in Anderson, SC.Born in Central, he was a son of the late Samuel O. and Ruby James Shirley.  Billy was a retired TSgt with the US Air Force having served as a Loadmaster during both the Korean and Vietnam Wars.  He was of the Baptist faith.Surviving are two daughters, Janice Elaine Batson of Greenville and Donna (Pat) Jones of Charleston, SC; sister, Sara S. James of Central; brother-in-law, J.R. Cobb of Mauldin, SC; grandsons, Patrick Ball and his wife and three children of West VA. and Miles Batson of Greenville, SC; special friends, Verna Mae Hunnicutt of Seneca, SC and Sybil Lackey of Central, SC.In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Vernon Shirley and Dwight Shirley; and sisters, Louise Gooch and Helen Cobb.Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 3 PM, Monday, April 4, 2016 in the M.J.
